StaticMojo-106 Studios are located in Largo, Florida. It's a hole in the wall lo-fi analog studio with an underground DIY atmosphere. Loosely operated by the Prof. and Geezar and at times Mr. 7, they present the underground with the "projects of abnormality".
More than a studio it's also a community of struggling musicians who put out music because their creative energy won't let them do anything else.
There are several bands who represent StaticMojo's unique sense of experimentation. From the Crypt-Hop beats of The Famous Dead Rappers to the experimental avant gardmoshere soundscapes of Broken Presshead, the spectrum is well represented.
Artist from StaticMojo
Broken Presshead: Nothing sounds the same coming off the Broken Presshead. One minute atmosperic-blues and then horror movie bloodyness...at times mellow and over the top brutal..
Famous Dead Rappers: Crypt-Hop from the Darkside.
Genius Nation: Imagine 311 getting beat down by the Beastie Boys as Beck watches on. Very Groovey.
Worst Case Scenario: Bluesy garage punk band representing "white trash" of Pinellas Park, Florida..
Goat Sucker: The Worst Band Ever...for real.
The Slacker Program: Just this guy with a strat and a four-track. A total "slacker" who just plays however he's feeling at the time.
These are just a few of the artist that keep it real at StaticMojo.
